Welcome To The Pacific Nomads Rugby 7s
About us
Pacific Nomads Rugby
Founded by Passion and Vision
Pacific Nomads Rugby was founded in 2023 by Loveni Enari and Paddy Bowen, two rugby enthusiasts who met on the sevens circuit in Las Vegas in 2019. Recognizing a significant opportunity to broaden access to rugby sevens and offer more playing opportunities, Loveni and Paddy embarked on a mission to create a platform that would not only elevate players’ skills but also enrich their lives through the sport.
Our Beginnings
The journey began with a single men’s team competing in the Coral Coast Sevens in Fiji—renowned as one of the most challenging rugby sevens tournaments outside the World Series. This inaugural appearance marked the beginning of a remarkable adventure, showcasing the team’s determination and skill in a highly competitive arena.
Expanding Our Reach
From our initial men’s team, Pacific Nomads Rugby has rapidly expanded to include a diverse range of teams: U16, U18 boys, colts, all abilities, women’s, and men’s squads. This growth has established us as one of the largest solely rugby sevens clubs nationally. Our expansion underscores our commitment to fostering talent across all age groups and genders.
Building Momentum
Since our debut, Pacific Nomads Rugby has gained recognition and respect in the global rugby community. Our teams have competed in prestigious tournaments including:
Los Angeles Invitational 7s, USA 2023
Ella 7s, Australia 2024
Coral Coast 7s, Fiji 2023 & 2024
Papeete International 7s, Tahiti 2024
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce upcoming tours to:
Global Youth Sevens, New Zealand 2024
Coral Coast 7s, Fiji 2025
Midnight Sun 7s, Alaska USA 2025
Our Mission
At Pacific Nomads Rugby, our mission goes beyond the game. We are dedicated to developing players both on and off the field, providing them with invaluable life experiences through rugby sevens. We are deeply committed to engaging with and supporting Pasifika communities through active engagement, donations, and creating opportunities for Pacific players in Australia, New Zealand, and the USA. Our name reflects our dedication to these connections and our journey as Pacific Nomads.
